Saturday Morning Central

Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory has always been one of my favorite films, and now it is available on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Check out my review with a couple sample videos after the jump.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is the newest DC Universe Animated movie to hit DVD and Blu-ray, and without a doubt, it is the best. All your favorite voices are back with a new, awesome animation style. Full review after the jump.

The X-Men animated series from the 90s is one of the all time greats; a staple of both Saturday Morning and After School lineups. Come check out SMC’s review of the Volume 3 and 4 DVD sets, and hopefully you’ll have the theme song stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

All four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films were released on Blu-ray for the first time ever, and also re-released on DVD in a snazzy new package, complete with four awesome Turtle masks. Check out my review after the jump.

I wasn’t going to post anything while we’re on vacation in San Francisco, but tonight we had the pleasure of seeing an advanced screening of Hayao Miyazaki’s latest animated feature, Ponyo.

Warner Bros. has packaged all of the Peanuts TV specials from the 1960s into a very nice two-disc set, and I’ve got an early review after the jump.

This is probably my favorite DVD I’ve gotten to review yet on Saturday Morning Central. It’s all of the Chuck Jones Tom and Jerry cartoons, on one great two-disc DVD set. They’re a blast, and the set is definitely worth buying.

The DVD review this week is Tom and Jerry’s Greatest Chases, Volume 2. It’s a great DVD to pick up for the price, and has a nice variety of Tom and Jerry shorts.
